TITLE: Security Guard - Job #ESS001
REPORTS TO: Field Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY: To be dependable, courteous and professional while patrolling clients premises. Always be alert and prepared so as to prevent and detect signs of intrusion. Answer alarms, investigate disturbances, make sure that all levels of security are maintained
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Report 10 minutes prior to start of shift. Be alert at all times. Check and take charge of duty register/log books from previous guard. Prevent access to any unauthorized persons. Politely answer and inquiries and direct them to the appropriate authorities/staff. Check all personnel for proper identity/purpose of entry. Fill in all logs/paperwork properly. Monitor behavior of suspicious persons or vehicles.
*ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Valid Guard Card. English comprehension (read, write). High School diploma or GED equivalent. Excellent customer service skills. Previous Guard experience. (minimum 3 years). Reliable transportation. Be able to stand for long periods of time. Pass employment verification, drug test and background check.
